Brookfield Memorial - Allis Plaza, Kansas City
In the Rose Room at The White House Enlarging from 2' to 4' to 10' My son JW riding the Bronco Buster

The Brookfield Memorial Story - commissioned in 1980 , to be a 10 foot enlargement of Remington's 'Bronco Buster'. The first enlargement was made after a cast in The Nelson Museum Collection. After the enlargement was completed in clay , the Brookfield Committee decided to have it resculpted after the Cast in The Oval Office of The White House. Upon completion of the resculpting, it was cast in bronze at my studio in Newark. After the sculpture arrived in Kansas City , the committee decided to change the base and elevate it on to a fabricated granite base.

There were many people that helped with this project, most notably my then wife Becky who brought her knowledge of the equestrian figure and Joe Brown my friend and teacher from Princeton University whose great experience in monumental sculpture was invaluable throughout. The many studio assistants, George, Glenn, Kathy, Susan, Helen, Janice & Nancy. -Ken Clark
